
As nice as this sounds, I can't take much of the credit...
I wanted an "electric" version of this song that was still very faithful to the original and couldn't find anything quite to my standards of liking, so I made a bunch of modifications (additions, deletions, instrument changes and even some *corrections*) to the original XG midi from the PC version of FF7 and recorded it through my Yamaha SW1000XG soundcard, which is of course the best possible piece of hardware that those midis were designed to run on. Not everyone has the privilege to hear this in all its glory, so here is for all to enjoy.
Hopefully I'm not breaking too many rules here >.>

Yeah, I'm a big FF7 fan. And it was easy to get it sounding close to the original because it uses midi data from the PC version of the game. However, you'd be surprised - there are subtle differences and even some mistakes made in the those midis even though Squaresoft was responsible for releasing them. I guess they rushed the transcription or something...
