'Cant do bloom well'?! Hush you! It looks really good! Maybe make the edges of the body (that's hit by the light) brighter and the core of the body darker? It should help show the light behind him is stronger then any other light source :3

I tried making it look brighter but it started to remove the actual outlines of the jacket and his features, making him just look like a red blob of goop o:
