I'd like to introduce a very special group of warriors, the stars of my novella A Reason to Fight. From the bottom right and moving clockwise we have Keith, Crey, Vulkan, Vice and Darius.
Keith-The group's leader, he's a very by the books soldier who always thinks about his people and his duty's during a mission. He follows his orders to the letter and always makes sure to bring his team back home in one piece.
Crey-Despite his intimidating appearance Crey is a gentle soul who prefers to avoid violence when he can. However it has become clear to him that in order to protect what he loves the most that he can't sit idly by while war rages on.
Vulkan-This one is nothing but trouble. Vulkan is a shameless pervert, and the fact that most women actually like him boggles the minds of his teammates. Vulkan however is a great friend and reliable soldier, he always has his friends backs, even if he is flirting with an enemy soldier at the same time. Despite being such a pervert the guys love him, and the team wouldn't be the same without him.
Vice-Vice is generally very quiet, unless Vulkan is around. Then the arguing starts as Vice tries to put him in his place. Vice is always known to have a book or scroll in his hands, and it seems like sometimes he pulls them right out of thin air. He loves to learn, no matter what the subject is. The problem is sometimes Vulkan just doesn't let him read in piece.
Darius-The youngest of the team. While everyone around him see's that Darius has great potential, he hasn't made that realization yet. Thus he always takes on any task given to him, eager to prove himself. This has led to the others giving him the nickname Dare. He's a level headed kid, who will do crazy things to prove he's as capable a soldier as the others.
