My badge for FurCon this weekend :O For those who have missed my journals about it this will be my first ever furry convention, or my first time meeting any furries irl in general!

BLFC In Reno. I wasn't able to go originally, but thankfully the admission rolled over to whenever i'm able to get there. I'm not going with anyone! Isn't that sad? ;; I don't know anybody and I wont be able to afford a room, so i'm prolly going to sleep in my car, haha. I do want to go though. Cons seem really fun. n_n

Oh, that's cool that they won't make you pay twice! Aww haha yeah I HATE how expensive hotels are, ahh. We got a terrible ghetto hotel that was $75 a night and even that price made me cringe. It was a lot of fun but it would have been twice as fun if I actually met more people and made friends.. I only met 3 and it was for very brief amounts of time. I'm determined next time to try and meet as many people as possible, and to arrange doing so beforehand so I get the most out of it. I dun did it wrong this time haha but my excuse is I was just getting my feet wet. Next con it's time to go all in.
So if you do go, I would recommend trying to network online beforehand and arrange meeting up with people.. anyone you can. From what I saw, everyone is super friendly and welcoming.. it's just that it's pretty hard (for me anyway) to just.. join in on someone' conversation? So for me the trick would be to correspond with people online first and plan to meet them there. If you don't know anyone who is going, try to see if there's a FB group for the event and post close to con time that it will be your first and you'd love if someone would take you in and show you around/introduce you to their friends. I wish I had done that.. merp :( Like I said, next time I'll do it right, haha.
