XBR-7 with Holographic Sight & 40mm Grenade Launcher
It's finally done fur-folks! >^_^< What do you think? It doesn't actually work, but it looks cool. I have some plans for this design in the future. But for now it's done. :3
This was a collaboration with my life long friend who will remain nameless for reasons and his small brand name RC Concepts. Thank you.
Dimensions without accessories: 40" long, 9.5" tall without magazine, 2" wide.
Specs: 13X49/.50 AC ammunition, Weighs ~approximate~ 10-18 lbs. or 4.5-8 kg.
Loadout: 20 round magazine, holographic sight, [40mm RPG launcher*]

I literally designed this in a 3D modeling program for engineering. Specifically Autodesk inventor. trust me the barrel is half an inch or 50 caliber and the grenade launcher actually is 40 mm the reason why 50 cal sniper rifles look like they have big ass gaping boar is because they have to have a lot of metal to keep the barrel s from melting. I also designed this years ago and I should probably use a good redesign. I was just playing with the idea of an assault rifle that use 50 cal Beowulf. But it turns out that already exists and the Alexander arms AR-15. Mostly did this for a book idea I'm working on. Same with the 20 mm autocannon.
I think the fact that I tried design this on a computer makes the proportions kind of weird I imagine if this thing was actually real it would be so big and cumbersome it wouldn't be worth it. looks cool though. The idea for the grenade launcher was that a small charge punts it out of the barrel and then ignites a rocket and launch it straight and true towards your target so you don't have to try to lob it. All purely fantasy but something I thought would be an interesting concept. Gosh I uploaded this was 6 years ago. Sure I would do something different this time. And definitely something different than a future.
I might be a bit paranoid about the shrunken grenade launcher thing because I love grenade launchers in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and grenade launchers in FPS games have been getting shrunken down for years. It might have started with Battlefield. It's infested S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods and it makes my brain melt.
