I haven't said it much here, mostly because I don't socialize here as often as I used to, but I've been growing a fondness for Monster High dolls. I like their core ideas and a lot of the designs. Venus is definitely one of my very favorites, so I tried taking a crack at painting her up for fun.
I ended up trying to add a bit more of a plant type of look, since the actual doll has a lot of scattered textures on it. And I mean, she literally is a monster, so why not mess around with it. I feel like I should try drawing her again sometime in a looser style to see if I can make her look less human.
I can at least say this wasn't a total waste of time since I got to practice with colors I don't normally use together.
