Ok so I don't have a color scheme or complete wardrobe for her yet, but at least I have a general design for my dragon OC (yep I'm sooo original right).
In a few ways, she's very similar to Eastern style dragons. Longer body, no wings, along with a mane that runs the course of her spine. Of course, that's pretty much where the similarities ends for her. She's completely flightless, and doesn't seem to hold any mystical properties that are common among the mysterious race of dragons.
Not only can she not fly, she does not possess the ability to spit flames as most other dragons do. That doesn't mean that she doesn't have her own secret weapon to keep her safe though. While she cannot breath fire, her bite contains a potent venom that acts like a high dose of opioids, leaving her prey or opponent in a very dangerous high that not many come down from. After a period of lashing out uncontrollably, which can often lead to the victim seriously injuring themselves, their body goes through a very quick slowdown, in which the victim's heart rate and respiration become so low, their organs start to give due to oxygen deprivation, starting with the brain. Sooo that kind of leaves french kissing out of the question for her.
She's built for arboreal living, and can be an excellent ambush predator. At times she employs a hunting method that is very much like that of an African Leopard; she'll wait in a tree until her prey wanders under her, and will leap down upon it, leaving a few quick bites before jumping back off again to let her venom do it's work so that she may avoid injury from further close contact with her still struggling meal. She will eat anything she can manage, ranging from insects to prey almost as large as herself.
Other than her hunting habits, she isn't a very bold creature. Easily intimidated, she will only engage in combat with another predator if she has been cornered.
That's just specs for her species, not for her personality really. I plan on making more with her later when I get the chance/more inspiration/time.
