One of the monthly images for
Amethysmus calendar.
Since I had only Gentlemen commission me, I wanted to do for each a "GQ" like image [relabeled "FQ" for Furry Quarterly"], with their fursona in a suit [Ladies would have gotten their choice of preferred fashion wear]. Each one would be awarded an archetype that best fit the demeanor of their character.
Amethysmus was given the archetype of "Tyrant". For him, an American cut, slightly thicker with his signature warrior wear [the fur cape and sword].
A condescending look of ruthless power, he's the kind of wolverine boss no one wants.
Watercolor and Pencil on parchment.
FYI, the original images have such a unique glow to them- the lucky buyers will be getting the originals mounted in their calendars, so they will vouch for the quality that my scanner mangled. :)

Yes, it's about time that we got a few real gulos around here. Getting rather tired of the cute, the sluts and the pansies that keep popping up in my searches. Just doesn't capture the wolverine spirit, imo. And speaking of not capturing the wolverine spirit, the profile for the gulos-of-fa page makes me cry a little...
I DID mask bits- I always do. The shadow wasn't masked though- that was freehand.
As for the paper- regular 80 lb (118g/m) tones tan paper from my sketchbook. It DOES buckle, but then a little weight helps it to flatten out. The beauty of not using water colour paper is that colours tend to show up differently- on this kind of paper, it's very pastel, so it makes for gorgeous rainbow blends. :)
