Yeah, Samus has been bummed ever since she had to say goodbye to the Metroid hatchling. She was left wondering what the whole experience even meant until Midna floated into her life. She was mouthing off ranting about some kind of "twilight realm" and "ultimate dark magical power" and stuff, but Samus was too busy coming to turns that what the baby Metroid awoke in her.....was a love of taking care of smol aliens.
Midna obviously keep on talking, getting more and more sassy and completely failed to defend herself in any way against her encroaching doom. She tried to hide in Samus' shadow, but her ship's computer easily identified the anomaly she was using and isolated Midna from Samus instantly.
