Loving the expression in this one! What do you do differently with your binary icons, is it just a brush setting? Do you still use the same program you use for your normal icons?
Sorry if that's not a question you want to answer! I'm a novice when it comes to digital art and am trying to take in as much information as I can! :3

Binary icons use a pixel brush, which are a totally different brush! It has a pixel look to it and isn't soft like other brushes. It's a different brush is the usual program I use which is Paint Tool SAI.
The binary brush is a completely different brush, however I don't use the default settings of it! My settings look like this: http://prntscr.com/5suaij (The size changes a lot for different line widths.)
And no not at all!! I'll happily answer any questions I can! :D Hope that helps!
