This is where I wear a slight blush; it's been a few years since I've been able to afford a full system upgrade!

I run a Core 2 Quad Q6600 clocked up to 3.8GHZ on stock cooling (it can take it!), 4GB of HyperX 1066 DDR2, a 2GB HD4890 and a mish-mash of storage drives which total about 4TB, including a 120GB SSD for the OS :>

The monitors are two 20-inch HP LCDs at 1680x1050 each, and the new 42 is full HD, linked up with VGA converted from the 4890's DVI. :D

Still a reasonable rig even by today's standards. ^_^

...Now my husband/mate wants a 60" over his monitors when we get him his new desk *shifty eyes* (Yes I know yours is a 42", but he's also upgrading to triple 24" displays, so a 60ish inch tv would probably look fairly nice over such)

Three monitors is bliss, especially if you like things to be symmetrical ^_^;;; I so can't wait to switch from dual 21.5's up to triple 24's (or even 27's, if pricing is right). So much room to work with!

interesting, is the upper one so you can kick back and watch movies, or play vidja gaems? cause that'd give you a crick if you were switching between the two more normally. then too, I notice you have the KB and mouse sorta centered, differently from me, I tend to have my mouse off to one side slightly, and my KB more centered between the two monitors, mostly so I can get my head in the right spot, I tend to like to have a dominant screen and a subordinate, but only slightly. I suppose it's preference. but right now, I don't have enough space for much. blerch.

The peripherals are placed as they are because of my desk chair; it only fits under the desk in one exact spot! I end up a little skewed to one side. x) But yeah, I have a big beanie on the floor I can use to watch movies and game on, or I can sit on my bed!

/me sagenodes. " I know what you mean about the "fixed position, I only have the room for my one monitor right now, though I've a bit of legroom, still, it's a nice setup. I've never been one for snazzy lights, though. I'd probably go for houseplants. like a cool orchid, and probably my Redtailed Boa's enclosure nearby.
