"Oh hai! Gues wat? I canz does tranzfurmashun 2!!!!!!"
Mmm, yeah.
See, Simon doesn't always look like a little wanna-be gloomcookie. Certain vampires can shapeshift. You just don't want them to. No bats involved here, just sheer sanguinivorous ugly.
It annoys me the jpg compression slaughtered a lot of the squirrelly detail, but what I like about how this turned out overall is how he's still clearly so damn perky and cheerful.

This image reminds me of a skinned and mummified cat carcass I discovered out here not too long ago. I like the "Catch Claws" though. The creature is reminiscent of the black skinned and fanged fish that prowl the sunless ocean depths. It probably has the same Ecological niche too.
Yep, exactly, I was trying to give the impression of something mummified. He's described in the book as looking like a cross between a small carnivorous dinosaur and a skinned cougar. And damn you're good, the vampire parasite descends from deep-sea critters :) Handful of jellybeans for you today
