Yes. I wasn't a rambunctious child by any means, but when I was in first grade, there was one day that I wasn't feeling good, so I raised my hand and my teacher told me to go to the office. I went there, and they were like what's wrong, and I told them exactly what I'd told the teacher. The secretary felt my head and she said that I didn't look sick enough to go home, so she sent me back to class. I was in class for maybe another 15 minutes before I raised my hand again, and once again, I was sent to the office. The secretary immediately told me to go back to class the minute I showed up, so that's what I did. Probably 5 more minutes goes by, I don't feel good, go down to the office, etc etc etc. I showed up once again, and the secretary, who was clearly exasperated, was like "Fine. Just go sit down and we'll call your mom."
She wasn't even done with the sentence before I threw up all over the floor.
She FLIPPED OUT on me, and was like "GO TO THE BATHROOM RIGHT NOW" and she literally made me sit in the bathroom in a corner on a chair that she gave me, and I waited in there until my mom came to pick me up. My mom asked me what happened, because it was weird that I was in the fucking bathroom in the corner, and I just remember saying "I told her I didn't feel good." I got transferred to another school the following year, and I'm wondering whether or not it was a coincidence, because my mom was really upset with how they handled it.

Oh goodness, that's awful! I only went to one school during childhood, so I remember the staff pretty well. Our secretary was an extremely sweet lady that would let us call our parents whenever we needed. I couldn't imagine feeling sick and being told just to go back to class. And I certainly couldn't imagine being put in a bathroom to wait for my parent.
One tragic tale of elementary school I can share:
My mom was a teacher at the school I went to, so I could never really get away with anything. In 4th grade, I got caught using swear words by another teacher, who told my mother. She was ridiculously upset, and pulled me into a restroom to wash my mouth out with soap. The school of course didn't have bars of soap, but that sickly pink slime, of which I still remember the awful taste to this day!
