As he walked into his bedroom's en suite bathroom, Shining sighed as he removed his royal blue bath robe. It had been an exceptionally long day and as he yawned and stretched before hanging up his robe with his magic and grabbing a pair of swim goggles, he was eagerly looking forward to some rest and relaxation after work. His perfectly toned back as he casually strode into the room looking at the warm bubbling pool before him. It was nothing better to him than a warm herbal bath after a long day of patrolling or general affairs as the prince of the Crystal Empire. He was just as eager tonight for he had learnt that his little sister's friend, a zebra named Zecora had purposely prepared a special herbal remedy for him tonight too. He smiled as he gently lowered his foot into the bubbling water, the vapours of the steam and the scent of the herbal bath water swimming around in his mind as they entered his nostrils, causing him to take a deep breath and sigh with delight as he felt that he had received a full massage for the daily stresses not only from his physical endeavours, but also mental ones. It wasn't long before he had soon the water up to his heart shaped naval blue swim shorts (normally he wouldn't be caught wearing them on casual occasions, however one time when he was required for what ultimately was just a false alarm, running out in a towel bound to fall before some worried servants was enough embarrassment for him for a lifetime so he wore a pair for emergencies since) and he soon rested his hind onto the seat, tipped the goggles over his eyes and sighed resting back.
"Ahhh" he let out a soothing sigh "This is life at its best" he concluded as he closing his eyes and smiling. The scent of the herbal bath covered his whole lower body swimming around at its own gentle current. His body, a perfect example of physical fitness and able performance for the royal guard, soon became completely bathed in the water as he gently splashed his chest to feel the full effect of the water and its concoction wash away the stresses of the day. He felt the water had a sort of fine gel sort of feel to it, like he was rubbing a mixture of fine bubble bath together with perfectly toned thick water combining to create a refreshing feel of cleanliness and relief. Shining smiled as he looked over, only his head had remained unaffected.
"Wow, this stuff is great!" he said to himself looking at a palm full of water in his hand, he had remembered the label with the bottle that was sent to him for the pool. Twilight had said that it contained a special property to improve one's softness in their bodily feel and leaving themselves feeling refreshing for nearly three long days’ worth. He smiled thinking of the perfectly smooth body he could let his princess cuddle up to that night and gave him the idea.
"I've gotta get Cadence to try this. She'll... she'll... ugh... oooh" he suddenly felt himself tingling all over, as if he felt bloated from eating far more than he was capable of. He held one hand on his head, and another on his stomach, pressing against his solid abs as he felt overwhelmed.
"Wha... what's happening... feel, so... full..." he muttered to himself as he closed his eyes, trying to regain his bearings. He suddenly shot them open again, when he felt an unmistakable change occurring. His mid-section began to tighten as his waist began to push against his normally snug fitting swim shorts, and his abs pushed his other hand slowly further away. Looking down, he gasped in amazement to see before him what was happening: he was swelling up!
"Wh- What the?! What's happening to me?!" he said as he lifted up his goggles over his eyes watched slowly as his normally toned body slowly began to disappear before him and his belly soon pushed out taking on the appearance of a beach ball being inflated by a powerful pump or some expanding magic. He felt his thighs also bulging upward, swelling up and growing thicker. He staggered to his feet in the pool, standing up to waist height as he watched his whole waistline filling out the pool normally meant for at least 12 rapidly. He tried to get to the steps, but his thighs, already swollen to twice their size at this point and his belly now looking like he had the figure more suited to a sumo wrestler than a royal guard captain, made manoeuvrability difficult for him. He slipped on the step with his foot too big to gain any proper baring and landed back in the water, splashing it all over up to his neck. He shook his head as he stood up again, only to see now his arms and chest and begun to swell up too! He had to try to get out, but as he reached over to hoist himself out of the pool at the side, his enlarged belly made it difficult for him to hold on long enough and get a decent grip and his bloated butt weighed him down, thwarting any chance of escape as his legs wiggled and slipped about helplessly. He wanted to call for help, but he couldn't afford to let the servants see him like this. He looked enormous as his already widened frame continued to bulge outward. And that wasn't the only thing he noticed as he looked down. He was also growing!
He looked as the stallion, normally around 6'3 soon looked down at the shrinking pool around him as well as the bathroom. He must have stood at this point at nearly 7'9 which soon became 8'2, then 8'8, then 9'4 and all the while he kept bulging up, forever expanding and widening. He was surprised that his swim shorts were able to stretch the length they did without bursting behind him, but he soon knew that that was irrelevant as he felt his bloated butt push hard against the back of the pool and his thighs squeeze him firmly into place causing them to plug him to the spot. He felt the pool groan around him as his legs at this point pushed themselves as far as they could grow outward, but his body still pushed upward and outward and his chest and arms swelled up just as much. He could only watch on as he saw his once trim figure look like he had attempted to escape a chocolate tank meant for mass production of a year supply of family bars. It was only once he had felt the pool's floor begin to groan and crack beneath him, that he knew it would only be a matter of time now and with one almighty crash, his legs pushed through draining all the water out from under him and his midsection wedge firmly against the sides of the pool. He soon felt his expansion slow as the water under him fell away through the hole he had created and soon finally stopped.
Shining was completely awestruck at the sight he saw. He must have easily doubled his height and almost increased his normal weight twenty times over. He looked around unable to move an inch for now.
"Wha... what was in that herbal remedy that Twiley gave me?" he said as he looked around "I look-" he soon looked as he flexed his swollen biceps. He then looked around at his other arm with the same results. Then he patted his swollen belly, it felt more soft and flexible than a water bed, more jiggly than a bowl of soft geletin and his fur combined made it smoother than a minx coated pillow wrapped with foam rubber.
"I look..." He said as he pushed his belly and watched as it wobbled back into place. Then a bizarre sensation overcame him as he began to smile. Then he chuckled. "Hey, I look, kinda good" he said as he gave his arms a flex and almost exploded with muscles that even HE didn't think was achievable. He looked down smiling as he lifted the goggles over his eyes off his head, resting them on his horn for now and flexed more. He chuckled more as he watched his body shift and move around. Though his waist was stuck in the pool like a cork, he couldn't help but feel content at his huge new form.
"Wow, this is kinda cool! I'm all buff and soft at once! Cadie will love cuddling up to her stallion while I keep her safe in my arms! I gotta ask Twiley for more of this stuff and show this off to Cadence... as soon as I can figure out how to get out of this... pool" he thought. There were only three days before this would wear off and he had such little time to show off his new form to his princess. The again, since he wasn't going anywhere for now, he could at least stay put. After all, he wasn't going anywhere else in a hurry now, was he?
