As I was shopping the other day, I happened to see this package in the hispanic foods section.

Obviously very Disney-like, but he looked so cute, I had to take a pic.

There was something similar at the salvage food store that I frequent. The product was a variety pack of lunchbox treats. Not all that edible IMHO.

The Gansito duck design was from the late 90's, and was much cool than the today's design is a realistic little yellow duck... ugh, at least in Mexico.
Although i think the cartoony duck design is currently for american stores.

Actually, I think he's supposed to be a goose.

Ganso is goose in spanish. Gansito then becomes Little Goose.

Yep, i got to admit that he resembles like a duck when he's a goose, which drove me a confusion.

The appearance of the "little goose" mascot has changed dramatically over its 50 years, from a university graduate goose, to a goose dressed in winter clothing, to a childish-looking goose, a teenager goose with jeans, t-shirt and spiky hair and now, a gosling.

What that is referring to is the collectable cards that are in the package, depicting the mascot at different times. You'll notice the present mascot holding a couple of them.

I was playing Tony the Tiger at a Latino grocery store outside of Chicago a few years ago.. Gansito showed up with their mascot, and I SOOOOO BADLY wanted to wear him instead of Tony, but they wouldn't let me :P The mascot is cute as hell, and altho its a partial, woulda been fun to wear, especially on that hot Sept. day :P

Look up products by "Bimbo".. it as well is Hispanic. They sell them in every QT i have been to in Georgia

I never thought that he did it, but he did, Scrooge McDuck lent his great nephews out to be spokes ducks for Spanish sweets. :D

"Ganso" is "goose" in Spanish. "Gansito" is the diminutive form, and effectively means "little goose".

Ah thank you for the info. I know very little Spanish I must admit. I can recognise the language, but I don't know what the words actually mean. Still you can't blame me in thinking that Marinela has invested in Disney cloning?

Yeah, here in Texas, and in a border town, this lil' snack cake is pretty common. ;3
I wonder if he's the Mexican equivalent of Drakes, since he was a duck/goose mascot for snack cakes from back in the 50s here in America. <:3
