A large member of the honeyeater family, the Tui, also know as the Parson Bird, is an aggressive, territorial bird of New Zealand. The noise of their flapping wings sounds like that of a rude voice and they can be trained to replicate complicated human speech, the Maori having done so. It’s thought they produce sounds beyond the human register, however, no ultrasound has ever been recorded.
