this is a piece for one of my mom's friends who is basically my second mom. this past week, their wonderful golden retriever, Dusty, passed away out of old age, and i wanted to paint something for them.

the golden had been rescued as a puppy by a family that left him isolated 23 out of 24 hours. my mom's friend rehabilitated him, as he was so anxoius that he could not bare to be alone or he would tear the whole house apart. he became an amazingly well trained dog and we doggy-sat him quite a bit. he loved to (attempt to) chase squirrels on walks and at the dog park. he was a really good boy. ;v;

i don't normally work with watercolors, but i wanted to try my hand at them just to see where my progress was at. it's pretty fun.
