Two more blast furnaces that bit the dust recently. These were in Steubenville, OH (maybe more correctly Mingo Junction). This was once Wheeling-Pitt Steel.
They hadn't made iron here in maybe 8-10 years, although they did install a modest 150 ton electric arc furnace to continue using rolling facilities nearby.
I recently saw a news story that these were leveled.
