The most amazing coloured foal, hah! Her mum's a Shire, I'm not sure what her dad was. I wonder if she'll stay that colour as she grows? Gorgeous!

I've never seen a gray foal. Figured they grayed out with age, dapples or not. She'll probably end up light gray to white in late adulthood. (heh, never seen s SHIRE foal before either. Shows how much I travel :O ) NICE! How old is she in this shot?

It's just the whole blue roan/brown mane thing she's got going on. Punky foal! Hehe. I have no idea how old she is to be honest ... she's still with her dam, so she can't be that old.

She looks to be at least 3 months old or so. Just a guestimation ^^ Yeah she does look a blue roan. I think Shires come in a few colors other than bay or black.... *goes to read more about Shires*

Yeh - bay, black and grey, although mares (and geldings) are allowed to be roan. Just. :P

I like the roans. Like grace on my pictures. She was a chestnunt roan mare. Her mum was bay and her dad allthough. Her fullbrother is bay too. Nobody knows from where she has got it...but it is there and she is beautifull I think. Like this little girl up here. I love how special she is looking with her color. Hope she will stay like that.

She might be a type of sabino, it can create a roan-like pattern. "Roan" Clydesdales are really sabinos. "True" roan doesn't exist in the Clydesdale gene pool; I don't know for sure about Shire's but it wouldn't surprise me if it was the same for them.
