having emma and neon as my main characters have been very therapeutic for me over the majority of my middle/high school life.. they're kind of like imaginary friends that tell me things will be all right. i get anxious and anxiety attacks every now and then, and having a kind voice in my head helps me think things through properly and say things are okay.
the other day i was thinking that it would be really cool to have emma be a service dog?? she'd treat people with anxiety and PTSD and stay with them if they started freaking out or having a panic attack.
i was thinking that once i get my fursuit of her i would make a service dog harness to go with the character! it would just be a super cool thing to wear + it would have patches on it that say "ask before petting" b/c i perfer people to ask me before they hug me in fursuit /v\
so anyways, just an idea...

yeah! i was also thinking of handing out little cards w/ candy attached to them with some small facts about service dogs and the proper etiquette when approaching one. i think it would bring awareness to the public to not bother the dogs while their working. (course, on the suit, i would probably have something that said i wasn't working so people could approach and take pictures w/ me xD)
aww that's so cute! correct me if i'm wrong, but it's a lot harder to get a service dog in europe and other parts of the world? from what i can tell in the US, you can usually register for one fairly easily, as long as the medical issue is verified w/ your doctor. i've even heard that you can not only register dogs here, but animals too! there was an article i read about someone with a tarantula they carry around to cope with anxiety!
