As title says, my current in-game team. Been working on this yesterday evening and this morning as a practice to whip out group pics faster, since I've been planning to do something like this in future commissions, after I finish what I have. While I'm sort of getting the hang of it, it's limited to flat colors only for now, with limited shading/highlights. Of all of them, Metagross was the most frustrating to do and wound up somewhat half-assed.
Pokemon list:
Arthur (Swampert)
Veronica (Vespiquen)
Diana (Gardevoir)
Edena (Froslass)
Atlas (shiny Metagross-can't be named in-game, but I refer to him as Atlas still :P )
Xander (Infernape)

My team for AS was
Gardevoir
Blaziken
Aerodactyl
Swampert
Sceptile
Linoone (everyone needs an hm slave, right?)
Pretty much wiped out the elite 4 with no issue, the champion, on the other hand, gave me a small amount of trouble with that metagross, but otherwise he went down pretty easily too.

After the first time you beat Elite Four and start back at your home place, you can get other region's starter Pokemon from professor Birch. First set you get is the Johto starters. Next time you beat E4, it's Sinnoh starters. And then, Unova starters when you beat them again.
Well, while Groudon needs to hold his Red Orb to undergo the change (like how Pokemon hold Mega Stone), Primal Reversion is treated differently from Mega Evolution, and it's activated automatically when the Pokemon is brought onto the field. It's a pretty solid Mon, really.
No, not a separate Pokemon, just that the Primal Reversion is different from Mega Evolution; it's triggered automatically if Groudon or Kyogre are holding their orbs, once they step onto the battlefield, and you can Mega Evolve another Pokemon besides them (usually, you can have only one Mega Evolved Pokemon on the team during battle). I think it's stats do get a boost once it goes Primal.
Well, there's Delta Episode, where you can get Rayquaza, and as an option, Deoxys in the climax of the story. If you don't catch him though, you have to beat E4 again, in order to meet him at the Sky Pillar (where you encounter Rayquaza in Delta Episode). After that, you can try to catch legendaries that appear when certain requirements are met, and get Hoenn, Sinnoh and Unova starters, like I mentioned above in the replies.

i love the idea of accessories for the mega stones to be held in. perhaps my gardevoir Rina would have her mega stone set into a gracidea hair clip.
but that said, you intimidate the hell out of me. your team would basically leave mine in a pool of their own blood.
take into consideration that even with the exp share on, i struggled with every gym and the pokemon league, and have an astounding online win ratio of 0
