This is the last old piece I'm uploading in this mini-flood of music submissions. This is a trio for piano, flute, and soprano saxophone that I composed during my sophomore year of college (waaaay back in 2004), and remained to be my most celebrated piece from my years there. I had the good fortune of working with some splendid musicians in recording this.
The title comes from the impression I get from this music of being simultaneously mechanistic with certain rhythmic elements (especially in the piano) and airy and light with the general flow of the two woodwind voices. As always, enjoy!
