I get the same issues, it almost looks like we have no empathy for others, but want friends, even though groups of people are unpleasant. :c

What's worse is they didn't find out until I was half way through my last term in high school at 17. :C

I do too, and damn do I feel the same.

I also have Aspergers, I was diagnosed at 5. Sometimes I feel like my mother treats me as less intelligent and when I call her out on it, she'll try to cover it up.

Very much the same here. Though I do enjoy socializing and hanging out with people, at some point I just gotta get out of there and go recharge my batteries.

As a person who struggles with PTSD, a victim of abuse, amongst other things. I can relate, but each story has a different pain.

I find this very relatable. Even though I may not have been diagnosed with some level of Asperger's, I do certainly struggle with new people, places, things, and situations. This has caused numerous complications from small and harmless to the more far-reaching. It is settling to know that I'm not the only one out there like this, as is evidenced by this submission, and the excellent responses to it. Thank you all. <3
