today was the first time that I have ever brought my fursuit in general public. I mean, I have brought it to a few friends parties and such, but this was at the local zoo here in wichita. I had absolutely no problems with anyone on the zoo staff. In fact I think a lot of them liked it, waved and smiled at me every time.

This pic is of me and a couple of the kids I encountered today. I think I had my picture taken about 40+ times with everyone walking randomly around with their kids...not to mention a few adults who wanted to take there pic too. There was only one kid at the very beginning that was affraid of me, but I made myself scarce quite quickly not to adjetate him. :p

A few odd encounters happend too...first was when someone came up behind me and grabs my hand. ...and I don't mean like grab to shake, this person actually had placed their fingers in between my fingers like you would with your parter or mate. I stopped and lifted my hand up and traced it back to a young man about 18-20 who was holding his girlfriends hand. I just stopped in my tracks as they kept walking on and then he and his girlfriend were snickering over it.. o.O? pretty weird stuff...but my mom got a kick out of it, because she had thought I grabbed for his hand thinking it was her hand. I said "No...I knew it wasn't you, cause you don't hold my hand like that. That's why I stopped and looked, and to my suprise it was a guy." not that it bothered me, but I was a little suprized.

And the second thing was just before leaving...I walk around the corner and I hear screaming...at first I am scared that I mght have scared more kids, but it was a young girl about 18 or so who was with a friend. She started running at me while screaming and saying "I Love You". At first I thought it might be someone I know but I can't see really all that great from distances in this mask...the farther they get the more blurred they get. So anyway she comes running up and hugs me a whole bunch, pets me some, and gets her pic with me and such...then I got to meet her friends and boyfriend, who were all very nice by the way, and then as she is standing by me she makes the remark to her boyfriend, "You think we could throw him into the mix?" ...at first I had not heard it clear but then it dawned on me what she had said. I covered my face sorta embarressed and she then realizes I can hear really good in this thing. O.O ...and so I hug her and her friends...and her boyfriend, who I don't think was oppossed to the idea) *blinks* ..and I was off out the door.

All in all I had a great day, and I know that a lot of those kids really enjoyed getting to meet a tiger at the zoo and get their picture taken. Not to metion I was the ONLY tiger at the zoo right now because they are rebuilding the habitat for them and they either have them put up somewhere, or have shipped them off till it's all finished. But I had a few people say "Look, there are tigers here...he just got out of the cage."

Maybe next time I could take some more furs along with me, but It will have to be when it gets a bit cooler. *falls over from heat exhaustion*
