One of the characters I'll be playing during Elder Scrolls Online.
Here is a bio I wrote because I was bored and have nothing better to do on weekdays.
Name: Retani Jimil
Species: Cathay- raht Khajit
Height: 6’2”
Weight: “You need to lose that belly, cat.”
Background:
Though abandoned at birth by his parent for unknown reasons, Retani always maintained a very happy, calm, and sometimes lazy attitude. This may be because of his adoption into an Argonian clan in the city of Ebonheart. After the tribe had found the young cub wondering the streets of the city alone, dirty, and starving, they took the young lion to the Elderwoman and officially made him a member of the tribe. He was assigned to the Jimil family who had recently lost all their eggs but two. Naturally, the mother accepted the young boy, as she knew the cub would be rejected and chastised by any other citizen of the clan. The family had two other children, Vikkar and Fauhna. The children were wary of their new “brother”.
Growing up, Retani quickly adjusted to Argonian life, he loved his family and in return they loved him back. However, did this not stop the other clan members from disliking and mistrusting Retani. He had a natural proficiency with weapons but grew entirely different from the normalcy of Khajits. While in Ebonheart, he saw the local Nord tourists drinking at a local pub and saw them brandish huge swords of pure Skyrim steel. Retani then vowed to train his life toward the power of the two-handed swords.
Once reaching maturity at the age of 22, Retani remained home while Vikkar journeyed to the Black Marsh to become a mercenary while Fauhna remained in the city to act as a healer and enchantress. Retani assisted his older parents harvest the ninroot patches and moon sugar paddies. This is where Retani gained his loved for cooking. His mother would teach him ways to bake, boil, fry, and steam different types of vegetables, meats, and fruits. He also gained a keen interest in apothecary and brewing drinks and potions. He gained a slight reputation in the clan for cooking fantastic foods and making strong ale, which was sold at the local pub inside Ebonheart and was given a job for it.
As he began to turn 35, a group of Nord and Imperial merchants entered the pub and instantly began a commotion. When they began to fight, Retani single handedly ended the brawl with his brutish and intimidating size even though he was an “old housecat”. The Dark Elf soldier in the bar overlooking the commotion began to persuade Retani Jimil to enlist in the Ebonheart Pact and fight for the prize of the Imperial City of Cyrodil. He was swayed and joined much to the opposition of his clan and family, who due to a recent outbreak of disease were short on individuals to run the tribe. He enlisted anyway, as his mother told him to not worry about them, for they know when they need you the most, Retani will return.
Retani Jimil traveled to Cyrodil and began to fight for the Ebonheart Pact. He gained some fame for being able to swing his cooking pot about as well as his greatsword. Though a skilled fighter, Retani received some disciplinary issues for being rather rebellious to his superiors, displaying belligerent behavior, and being overweight for the standards of the Pact. After 3 years of fighting in the War for Cyrodil, Retani returned home. There he discovered his clan was completely destroyed during a raid by dremora who had deployed an Anchor in the vicinity of the city. Devastated by the news, he asked around his old pub if they knew the whereabouts of his family or of Vikkar Jimil. One haggard old imperial told him he heard of an Argonian who had returned about a month ago and went north toward Davon’s Watch. Knowing it was his brother, Retani traveled to Davon’s Watch, feeling guilt for his family’s death and his inability to protect them. He vowed from then on to help any soul in need and do whats right.
Dont know if Ill keep this guy but for now, I will. He looks so much like Hoosier! I dont know why I dropped this guy. He is awesome!
Ill probably change his Elder Scrolls origin but he looks like he could be a badass partner for Borok! Maybe give him like a duo-backstory
