So thought I would share. its not perfect and doesn't have everything but it was enough to get the point across.

It can make it look muddy and lose contrast. Even in nature in a lot of cases shadows can either be warm or cool depending how the lighting is. But no matter what there is a value, saturation, and hue shift. Its just a standard rule I've come to use. Even in greyscale you never want to use straight black or white unless you are inking or adding harsh highlights.
