An amazing piece by the ever wonderful home.
It's hard to hide the body language that shows real emotions, but some creatures make it hard to read the emotions. Humans are rather limited to facial expressions, drumming of fingers or tapping of feet which can often go unseen and misunderstood. Dogs are more simple with the wag of their tails or having it tucked between their legs, very clearly showing what they feel, but still rather limited to a tail or movement of their bodies. Gryphons are pretty easy to read though. The fluff of feathers, the wiggle of wings, the flick of an ear, the sweep of a tail, and the grind of a beak all can tell you in great detail what they are feeling.
The body language is almost impossible to mistake if you are paying attention and if whoever is trying to get Irene's attention continues doing what they are, they might be losing a limb shortly. The messy ruffle of plumage, wings slightly up and away from her sides, an ear down and the other listening away, the neutral hang of the tail that could easily go anywhere for her next movement of violence or departure, but most of all the glare. If that doesn't look like one irritated gryphoness then you might want to consider life without a left hand now.
I got the special privilege to get this simply amazing piece of Irene from Home a short while ago and I have to say it has grown to be one of my favorites. There are just so many good and great things I could say about this piece, but what I like best is the style. It is so unique, but there is just something about it that fits well for this piece and really makes it look so good. It also inspired a small modification to Irene's character that I am going to make permanent, the tail. Before I liked the idea of having a more house cat like tail that was fuzzy all the way down, but after the badge I got of Irene from Likeshine and now this with the lion style of tail, I'm going to stick with it. Thank you again, Home, for the fantastic piece!
