HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN NEEDING TO MAKE ONE OF THESE STUPID THINGS??!?!? Well, now it's done. another 4 hours of my life [for this?! i don't know either] gone. i made a few changes, like the cheekies and the earses. i... i think i'm happy with the changes, but hey, i've got the PSD saved if i change my mind. I LIKE DOTS. hehehe little nipples. they made me laugh.
About the hands... They don't necessarily have to be mondo monster claw things like that, I was just being lazy and they're cute. They can be like... you know, humanoid hands, or generic 'were' hands with the claws and stuff. the same goes for the feet~
The teal [or whatever that colour is] dots are photophores, by the way. HOORAY BIOLUMINESCENCE IN A MAMMAL?!???
about hair/hairstyles... i sometimes draw him with longish dreadlocks, but not always. i didn't put that on the ref. some examples of hairs that [s]he can have:

Spikes! Spikes are great, I love spikes! The ones on the tail are omnipresent, but like you see in that one head doodle on the bottom, there can also be a trio on the back of the neck there, or on the arms, or the hands, or the shoulders, or really anywhere you want to put some. As long as they're in groups of 3, it dun mattah! [and.. i mean. i'm not gonna pitch a fit even if they're not in groups of 3, rofl]
