I decided to upload some clean stuff for once, 'cuz I like drawing things.... and.. yeah.
This is old, old, old... but I really like this character.
His name is Ashley and he is a fiddler crab
I should say he's PART fiddler crab, just so people won't call me on stupid shit.
Ashley is a generally quiet kid, who gets made fun of a lot, so he gets into a lot of fights. He won't use his large claw, because he feels like he can prove himself without using his claw to his advantage.
So yeah, Ashley is © to Gunmouth

Okay, first of all, I never thought I would comment on an image called "Angry Crab Boy." Secondly, I never thought it would be this cool. ^^
Although it is a relatively simple sketch it's really neat to see a unique concept like this, and I think you pulled it off very well GunMouth. There are a lot of nice touches here, like the mutant crab feet and the crab-like plating along the arms. You do a very good job with the angry part too, the expression works well with the fist-shaking.
As a side note, are those freckles? And is he wearing suspenders? I'm impressed with the details you included in this. But I will say this: you should have called him Sue.
Anyways, thanks for sharing your work Gunmouth! I hope we can look forward to seeing more in the future!

Yes those are freckles :)
And yeah he's wearing suspenders. He kinda has to, because of his odd-shaped shell.
And yeah, thanks for the comment on the originality. I honestly didn't know how I was gonna pull of a fiddler crab anthro/mutant. I'm pretty happy with it.

If I had been wearing a hat, it would've just done a backflip (a la Nasty Canasta). What quick search yields the history of those names? (curious)
(sigh)
In case anyyone else is befuddled: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unisex_name

Just saying that a simple search on any of those names would show them to be originally male, not even unisex. But now of course they are unisex, some are assumed to be even feminine. It is rather sad that people don't realize this.
Well, nowadays, all you have to do is make something popular with the ladies, and society will happily forget that that something was ever in any way suitable for men. How many folks remember Ugg boots were made for both sexes before they became popular with fashionistas? (not that I'd ever want any--it's just an example that sticks out)
