Just a quick concept piece I created in Photoshop.
Whilst studying Rayleigh scattering, I was able to appreciate our diverse universe that much more. For instance, on Mars, I discovered that sunsets appear blue (albeit dim). This is due to the unique properties of its atmosphere, which tends to scatter longer wavelengths of light, exactly opposite of our own. This helped lead to the inspiration for this quick concept, imagining what life would be like on other planets. I also learned a few things in the painting process... Most importantly that I must study clouds further. I'm not satisfied with the current way I render them.
