This is one of my favorite photos of Callie, taken our first Christmas together. As she's aged, the pink on her upper lip has turned to black. I miss the "messy lipstick" look she used to have.

I lost Callie in March 2015. In January, I noticed that she was having some motor function problems. One by one, our veterinarian ruled out the simple causes progressing to the more serious. While waiting on test results for a degenerative neurological disease, her condition declined rapidly and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to my little girl. I miss her terribly.
