He's actually an armadillo-person of the same sort as Seria, the hat-adorned adventurer armadilless who so routinely graces my gallery, but clearly there's a world of difference between them. I envisioned an elaborate backstory for their race and society, but in brief summary the men never quite strayed from the expectation of happily dedicating their lives to physical labor/blue-collar/artisan work even as the tasks of those learned lorekeepers among their women grew all the more important as they modernized.
In the end you're left with a society where the men are predominately diggers, carpenters and farmhands. And they're all brawny armadillo-dudes. At this point I'd imagine a few readers might be booking their flights already.
I endeavored to make both the male and female characters broad-built and muscular, though clearly Seria has quite a bit more fat padding out all those muscles. I can never quite seem to commit on one specific face shape for them, but I think I'm slowly starting to center on a solution.
I'm starting to realize I've been showing a lot more skin than usual in my pictures... maybe I'll start going back to the outlandish fashion shows soon enough.
