Schluter didn't know much of his childhood as his nest was raided by Hiltz's squadron and he was integrated into his squadron. Years pass and Schluter's reputation begins to buckle as members of his squadron begin to grow weary of his poor judgement, quick temper, and self-control whenever he goes on a mission. Hiltz fearing his position as squadron leader is under threat decides to drive Schluter out of the squadron and territory forbidding him to return. After being driven out Schluter matured, his personality had died down to something more passive but he was plagued by nightmares of what happened back in his old Squadron. He eventually runs into squadron consisting of mixed aircraft and attempts to join but he was intercepted by the squadron leader a Mig-21bis named Beva. Due to the natural rivalry between the Fishbed and the Phantom species she reacts aggressively. It takes many attempts but Schluter manages to persuade Beva into letting him join her squadron but isn't exactly welcomed with open wings. He later on grows a ever growing passion for the Mig but every advance ends up his nose in the dirt. it takes many years before he manages to settle down with her.

Personality: Easy going and doesn't go out of his way to please others, his only exception Beva, who he lay his life on the line Day in and Day out for. Passive and level headed in certain situations, but if pushed to far he's quick to snap. When in a combat situation he has a bit of trouble with his self-control the more intense the battle gets the more aggressive he becomes
