I wanted something a little finnish/scandinavian but dislike the thin steel on thos knives. This is my compromise: crygenically treated a2 tool steel with a flat wedge grind from 1/4" thickness at the spine. Micarta and silver steel make up the handle and bolster. Rosewood clamshell sheath with a leather wrap retainer and belt hanger (thats actually one piece of leather! No sewing involved. I had 30 minutes before i had to leave for the airport and this is the idea i came up with). Heat treat by paul bos. Everything else? All mine, baby.
