After snapping up a discarded pizza slice from a Central Park trash can, Xyk suddenly finds himself beleaguered by the angry wasps also dining there. The coyote attempts to escape by clambering to the top of a light pole, but much to his frustration, the stabbing insects are only too happy to pursue. With the Empire State Building looming in the distance, an epic battle thus ensues, ironically reminiscent of another involving a giant ape…

This is actually a giant watercolor piece in real-life, and it is truly splendid to behold. I simply adore its “storybook” qualities, and Formidonis really outdid himself in producing it for me. Anyone not familiar with his work owes themselves a look. It is lovely stuff!
