Yeah, it's not perfect. I've only been playing the violin since March, and I feel strongly against post-production when it comes to playing a solid block of music... i.e., if I make more than one mistake, I start over, regardless of how good the rest of the take was. So, that in mind, enjoy.
Help with deciding what kind of electronic beat to use = Michael O'Connell...
Djembe Drum, Violin, Male Vocals, Female Vocals = Kai'enne Tyrmerik.
Made @ Sketch in 1h30... ...with approximately 2/3 of that spent on violin take after violin take.
I love how the ending came out... All the takes were improvised, so this was the only one that ended with that pattern.

The violin isn't quite as powerful as hearing it in real life a foot away from you... but the singing and beat make it freaking awesome. Especially love that little match up with voice/violin at the end. Chilling and beautiful :3
You should make a self portrait piece with sound... kind of like how traditional artist paint self portraits (and I'm sure i'll have to this year)
I don't know why exactly, it was just be fucking badassawesomeness, cause that's pretty much what you are.

That's kind of what this piece is, albeit an amateurish one. When I do create an aural self-portrait, it will most likely sound very similar to this, but /far/ more technical and detailed. Above and beyond the manual skill required to play the instruments manually, and perhaps recording multiple drum and/or violin and/or vocal tracks, I'd really like to get right deep into the electronic aspect and do some real damage.
