I have done brindle! I've got one particular yarn that makes a perfect brindle. The only problem is it's really tedious to work with (I think it has flecks of yarn in it which make pulling yarn through stitches a little clunky). Maybe if I try stitching a bit less tight it might flow better. I should bring it back out some time
