My most recent piece of poetry, based on a shockingly strong mental image I had several days ago~

Please feel free to critique as poetry is far from my strong suit!

The serrated edge splits the skin
Red ink drawn to the surface
A bubbling fountain

A line of heat, pulling, escaping
Smiles splitting apart faded black, faded pink
Symbols in ink, inked over again

Twin brooks bubble merrily
Each watery splash taking
A new course down an ivory way

Paths to freedom
Hot life dripping, draining
Filled now with cold numb
