Please tell me this story has a happy or at least non sad ending. I need to know everything will be all right, I dont even know these characters names but i feel really invested in them.

This project originally grew out of working through the death of a sibling IRL... and so even though it's gotten to a place where my relationship with this story and what it means to ME isn't what it was at the beginning.. it still wasn't an option for me to change the ending :/ it felt disrespectful, i guess? to pretend that everything is okay.

But, if it helps, there is an AU that I like to play around in sometimes where they live in space and operate a cryo sleep/slipstream interplanetary travel service, and absolutely nobody dies, and it is not uncommon for me to draw pictures outside of canon where they keep being kids and having fun forever, and little sister's lung problems never go away but they have full happy childhoods.

And, if it helps, Most of my other longer projects will not be this sad (and the other sad ones are all confined to a single website, where they are clearly marked so that they may be easily avoided.)
