Well, this is FURaffinity, I probably should upload more furry pics.
Roundabout explanation: personally, I can't create a character without having some idea how they would look as an animated character--particularly the voice. When I had my comics running, I always had fantasies of who I would hire when everything took off and I needed to cast The Animated Series. Oh, how naive I was.
At any rate, Todd from i.s.o. was one I never specifically placed, for whatever reason. Pleasant teenage jock voices were not common in media I watched, I guess. And somehow, after years of Parks and Recreation, I only just NOW realized that Chris Pratt wouldn't be a bad match--generally good-natured, perky, impulsive, goofy, but still fitting a big guy. Maybe he's a bit low (he is a fair amount older than Todd should be), but I'm sure he could swing a higher pitch.
So to celebrate this decision, I decided to whip this out. Given that a certain OTHER Guardians of the Galaxy character gets all the attention here, I thought it fitting to use one of the other infamous scenes that most gay males took note of. Kinda weird to see Todd grumpy, but not at all weird to see him stripped. ^.^
Short explanation: Chris Pratt = Todd's voice, not a bad body model to boot.
Todd © me, background stolen from a very very very commonly screencapped scene from the movie.

Honestly I don't think I give much variance to their dialogue...it's all mostly California middle-class college people ^ ^;; I just think it's fun to picture, even though I don't know exactly how to convey it.
Not long ago I saw a "which Chris?" poll on some entertainment website or whatever...Evans, Hemsworth, Pine, and Pratt. 3/4 Marvel. IIRC Hemsworth seemed to have the lead.

I never saw the third (fourth? How many were there) JP movies, so Iunno either. Nieve already mentioned the Indiana Jones reboot, which is just as up in the air.
I know there's a few guys lately who are groomed to be the next action star and then bomb (Taylor Kitsch and Sam Worthington come to mind), so it's hard to say. But the difference is, Pratt is funny as hell (Parks & Rec DVDs have plenty of bonus material, so he definitely is not just reading scripts). I don't know if he'll always be an action star, but I'm pretty sure he can fall back on comedy if need be. Hell, he's married to Anna Farris, they NEED to do a comedy together!

...those abs though.
You know, I like Chris Pratt. As a person he seems very pleasant and I find him fun to watch on screen but I don't get the hotness factor from him. Everyone I know is super into the dude. I feel like I'd like to hang out with him, maybe watch football, but not necessarily sleep with him. It's cool to know he's sort of the direction you'd picture Todd though, because I always read him as, like, a Chris Pine pretty boy type.
..but yeah, back to those abs...

To be honest, I thought he was pretty appealing even before he got into shape, the doofy husky look fits him too. I guess I just like big dumb guys--I assume he's not THAT dumb, but he plays it well in Parks & Rec. But it isn't all about sex for me, so I'd be happy with other things
Yeah, now that you say it, Pine as Capt Kirk is probably a closer fit for Todd's personality. Todd's way beefier tho XD
Yes. Abs :-D

I, for one, appreciate just how beefy Todd is. I know that's a totally unpopular opinion around here, but what can I say? I'm iconoclastic like that.
I agree with you about Pratt though, I find him immensely appealing as a comic actor. I'm really interested to see what he does with the Jurassic Park franchise because, in theory, he'll have to carry some more dramatic heft what with people getting eaten by dinosaurs and what have you.

I think Chris Pratt would be a good fit for a voice actor. And I'd love the idea of an animated I.S.O. ! Because, you know, animated Cody, and Jeff, and Jake ^^
And for some reason I just had to think of Todd letting out this line: "She has no idea. If I had a blacklight, this place would look like a Jackson Pollock painting!"

I'm not sure, while I agree I always pictured Todd as being a tenor boy, I could hear him having Chris Pratt's deeper voice too. But from what I know of his work before GotG, I agree Chris could do the higher range for Todd too.
Either way, great casting, especially that body, and I think he fits the scene as well. ^_^
