Quick, Crappy experiment.
Exactly what the title says. I drew the whole thing up really fast because I wanted to test out something. Normally I don't use any pen at all in my pictures because I find it harder to control for small details and such, but it sometimes makes the lines hard to pick out. Then it sorta hit me, why not do both? I could use pen for the major outlines, basically along the outside, and pencil for the small details, like fur and other stuff.
So, like, ignore the boring pose and shitty colouring, I threw this together really fast just to mess with a few new tecnhiques. I think it's worth some further experimentation. I'll try and do a better one with this method when I can finally relax for a while >.>
Turns out, as usual, my scanner hates white fur. Bleh. xD

It works. Like Tanek said, it helps things stand out a bit more. And from looking at it a few more times, since the lines help the eyes see a definitive start and stop of the body lines, it helps to see the details a lot more clearly.
Also: She is very yes. I kind of dig small/flat chested girls.

Oh, I'd say you were pretty sucessful with this experiment. I like how it turned how, and how the lines seem to pop in the right places. I'd maybe have inked around her fingers too, but that's me.
I did notice that on her right foot, she looks two-toed, so unless you meant it like that, I think maybe you should be able to see a little sliver of a third toe in there...
Beyond that, I think the form came out real nice. ^_^ this a picture I really like.

i would highly encourage more of this experiment as it is REALLY bringing out the shading. and to be honest i really like the pose too. the only part im a little concerned on is the hind paws...but i dont even know how to offer advice on those as paws and muzzles are the bane of my existence XD
great job, hope to see more soon ^^
