By panel 4, Shemain is already a little too much for Chucky. It turns out she's a bit unfiltered. Not only that, in panel 4 she's making the 'pussy' symbol with her paws. I had not intended that, it was completely by accident and I didn't discover it until inking.
BTW, when a teenage girl asks if you like her school uniform, "ew" is not the correct response.

"ew," may not be correct, but if a teenage girl asked me how I liked her school uniform, given my age, it would be an acceptable response.
Another may be, "I'm sorry my dear, but I'm afraid I will require a time machine to answer that question in a pleasant way that would not be improper."
Also: I've never been a teenage girl, but I did go to catholic high school, and let me tell you, uniforms do nothing to curb a teenage girl's vanity. As for unity and professionalism: 1: unity is boring and not particularly useful unless you want to make a large number of identical students (* dodges irony*), and 2: 'professional' what? High school students? The phrase 'professional high school student' makes me think of a 20y/o loser who smokes in the teachers bathroom and hits on the supply teacher.

Useless or not, I just don't think school is a place for 'em. Maybe it's my individual mindset, but I think when you're young like that you should be having fun. I think a uniform takes away from individual identity and implies a forced conformity, a very bad message for a young person. Of course I expressed that through Chucky's reaction.
All that aside, seeing girls wearing school uniforms would be almost worth it, but not quite.

There's a long list of reasons I don't care for uniforms (you named two, I could rant for eight more), but yeah.
And I don't know if you went to a school with uniforms, but lemmie tell ya... when _all_ the girls are wearing the same thing, it's not as appealing. The whole 'sexy school girl' thing is really only fun when it's roleplay and you're not a 'very ordinary school boy'. :P
All the same, Shemain's cute in her outfit. :)

That's very true, but I remember knowing lots of girls like her in high school and college that said the exact thing she said. "Girls are mean, all my friends are boys." And it was true, these girls all had mostly guy-friends and were particularly fun to be around, like Shemain.
Sometimes guys like Chucky arrive at the stage where they decide they need a make-over to get girls (or respect, or a promotion, or popularity,etc.). So they join a gym, get contact lenses, upgrade their wardrobe, etc. I've known two or three guys who decided that growing a moustache would achieve their desires.
They may get a slightly better results, but ultimately it won't be enough. A smaller percentage of these guys will start going in for self-help stuff, therapy, and in some sad cases, join dubious cults to try to change their personality.
Chucky just needs to build his confidence. He seems as unsure of himself with both girls and aviation. But then, that's what this graphic novel is all about!
