Wow.. Gorgeous. Incredibly intricate details. I can TOTALLY see how this must have been exceedingly time consuming.

I'm particularly fond of the design on the dragon's face / crest. It really makes the face stand out very nicely.

another strange being in a strange world full of beauty already. all the plant parts must have cost you a lifetime... and the dragon is neat and beautifully designed. and it stands out properly even without the colours.

thanks, it can be kind of hard to make the focal point pop when it's surrounded by so many small details XD

ah, so you stand up and walk a few paces and take a seat and such while drawing? I rarely can sit still for couple hours to do art. it happened while engraving soapstone, but that's a rarity. :)

yep, that's me. take a break, walk around, take another break, eat something. while working on this one, almost every day i took a break towards the middle to ride my bike into town (about 4 miles round trip) and use the computer at my grandparents store and stretch my legs a bit, and it worked pretty well in terms of getting me out for a few hours and keeping me from going crazy :3

i watch people here and on dA and they leave some description about how they worked for hours until their fingers wanted to fall off and i cant imagine drawing like that anymore, i did when i was a kid, but back then i could finish something a hell of a lot faster

I think it's not that easy to sink completely into trance when grown up, since there is so much to distract one. I need some radio with me during the day; having a slight but annoying tinnitus does that to someone. at a convention it's different, but not much. the few times when I had the opportunity to scratch off something nice out of a piece of soapstone some times the world aroudn me completely got blended out, unimportant. people were watching me, fascinated, while I scraped off layer by layer...
at home there is radio, tv, and other things. I look up, ponder soemthing, walk around, etc. sometimes I can't stop until it's finished, though. but then again my artwork is rarely as sophisticated as yours. :)
