With a lovely forecast on the horizon, Reveille had decided that she wanted to spend some time with her friend Torenth. She lived near a pleasant little clearing, easily accessible from all directions via a small trail, and asked that he meet her there around midday. When she arrived, however, Torenth was already there; and with a smile they settled into the grass as the dragoness started to set out a picnic blanket.

“Whatever is that?” asked Torenth curiously.

“It’s the picnic blanket!” laughed Reveille, her tail a-swish. “You can’t have a picnic without a picnic blanket!”

“But I thought you were the picnic!” exclaimed the big blue, and sure enough he reached out and grabbed Reveille, who squirmed and giggled knowing her friend well. A few wriggly moments later (and quite a few loud gulps besides) the noodle dragoness, her blanket, and her picnic basket had all been shoveled down Torenth’s greedy gullet! With a lick of his hungry muzzle, the big blue dragon set his paws on his noodle-stuffed gut and pondered important things…like whether to sleep this meal off at home, or just sprawl out and nap on the spot!
