The other day, I saw a billboard out in front of a church, which stated: God Wants Full Custody - Not Weekend Visits!
Of course, I did an immediate double-take, and it also struck me just how creepy, (whether well-intentioned or not), that sentiment actually was.
Apart from the obvious associations, for some odd reason, I found myself thinking of Katamari Damacy...

if I may speak freely on the matter, I'd like to mention that I don't believe God is like that at all. I think all the huff and puff, and hellfire and damnation, and sin and virtue, and 10 commandments and all that other bullshit, is just christians making shit up. XD it's christianity, not God. it's organized religion. and of course, I have christian friends who don't subscribe to all that shit. I think they are pretty coolio people. but let's face it, the abrahamic religions are, in general, full of shit.
if there is one thing I have come to be convinced of, through formal logic, on the nature of God... it's that the abrahamic religions got it wrong. I;m convinced God exists. but I'm not convinced that christians, jews, or muslims are correct about God.
anywya, I loved the poem. :) it was pretty epic, and really captured the brutality of the teachings and dogma of christian morality. of the oppressive implications between the line sof their claims. the inherent abuse of their propaganda and methods. you really put it down clearly just how disturbing these subtle little messages of theirs can be.

I think that God wants full custody, but not as a bad father that will raise his children with vice and totalitarianism, no matter how much the church seems to think the opposite.
And seriously, that's a terrible message to put on a sign. Do people even think before they write? XD I did really like the bumper sticker mentioned though. I kinda want that now.
