Between working on commissions and playing VIDEO GEAMS, I made this little dumb sketch.

Big-ass motherfuckin capital ships. Frigates, Destroyers, Cruisers. BATTLESHIPS.
Only one game got even REMOTELY close to being my dream game and that was EVE Online, but it was such a fucking snoresville 90% of the time that it was unbearable.
Dreadnought is the 10% of EVE Online I've wanted 100% of the time. AND NOW ITS COMING.
As for Homeworld, it is THE FLEET COMMAND game I've always loved. Now I just have to wait for someone to make a Legend of the Galactic Heroes mod for it and OH MY GOD.

Yes but they cost literally thousands of RL dollaroonies to even have.
Why throw that much money at something like that, when there are far cheaper more affordable options that will do most likely the same thing? Cost effectiveness is something I like looking at when money is involved. :V

At the moment I agree with you. I'm not touching any of the cap ships with a ten foot pole. XD
That, and they sell out in a minute or less if and when they're ever released for pledges.
But when the game actually releases, and they stop giving out ships for RL cash entirely? Everything being pledged for right now will be attainable in the game. ^^

Heh, I'm certainly going to be looking forward to Homeworld Remastered, I loved the feel of that game as well as the music. I just hope that the remastering doesn't go too overboard in updating things to modern stuff; the Homeworld UI was already pretty clean at the start. I do like that they kept the aesthetic of the cutscenes while making them using more advanced AfterEffects techniques, lovely!

Take Team Fortress 2, and a little bit of a Progression system from something like LEague of Legends or Warthunder, and turn it into space ships, and slow the pace down to about a snails crawl and you get Dreadnought. That isn't to say that there aren't fast ships in Dreadnought, its just the heavy bruisers are fairly slow and lumbering, but oh, do they pack a -punch-.
