
One of my best Christmas presents this past year was the latest republished volume of Walt Kelly's 'Pogo,' one of the greatest comic strips EVER, even for non-Furries. If you're not familiar with it, I urge anyone to check it out.
As I've said before, reading is a transformative experience. You don't see Pogo himself hanging upside down much, but as he eloquently puts it, "I ain't much for possumin'.'

The strip continued after Kelly's passing, until medical & other bills were paid up from royalties, and then the characters all took a formal goodbye.
It was resumed by Sternecky & Doyle ,but rights eventually reverted to the Kelly family, who had no knack either writing or art. It ended soon after ... Sternecky & Doyle were brilliant.
