wow I spent soo much time on this. meant to be an hour painting, but I won't even admit how many hours I spent on it.
So why is it not super-detailed then?
Because I got nostalgic! Long ago I was a werewolf and wolf-artist. before I was a furry, before I was a dragon-artist. That celtic-maniac rocker, with the wolf tees and the long black hair :3
And I couldn't help but to automatically switch back to my old style and painting.-technique (that was super-slow). but it felt really good. so here you go.

bow is loosely based on Kassai bows (I had one once myself ^^ )

Yay, I can spew about my pet peeve again!
First of all, I absolutely love the pose and composition, very natural, exactly how someone with a bow in hand looks. Overall effect and broad first impression is flawless, which is a lot more than most can say about their pics. Left hand is very fine as well, a nice relaxed grip (I personally never used an index finger to stabilize, but many do it). Bow has a wonderfully detailed structure, it looks functional.
But. A recurve bow is in a somewhat more extreme bend when at 2/3rd of the draw length - and if it's at all strong, it's very unnatural to draw it casually while pointing downwards, without your whole chest going into it. Arrow is somewhat off scale, should have a heavier head, thicker length, and feathers a little bit further back. The major issue is that the drawing hand should hook into the string vertically, not the arrow horizontally, the displayed technique is not for recurves (mostly people using special draw-devices do this fist grip thing).
Anyway - stunning, you go!
