I know this might be a little unorthodox, but I figure I'd share my method in case anyone else is on a budget. :)
I couldn't find any EVA foam in my area, and the toki-reatle pattern called for foam about 1cm thick, so I used this as a substitute! It's easy to find and I used about 6 sheets for my head, and they're only 99¢ each so the base only cost me $5.94! :)
The Creatology sheets from Michaels are also very rigid and sturdy, but I've compared them with the ones at Joann's and other stores and some of those are more floppy, so use best judgement and go for the stiffest you can find for a sturdy head. :)
I figured since they're easy to find, this might be especially helpful for young makers who might not be able to get EVA. Best of luck to everyone! I can't wait to see more awesome pony suits! ♥ :D

Exactly! ❤️ :D
It worked really well for the pony pattern I used, but since it's so flat, inexpensive, and easy to find, it would be awesome for drafting, crafting, and really anything you could imagine! I stocked up my craft room with about 20 sheets of it for future projects already! For 99¢, why not? :D

I think I'm going to work with this for a start on remaking my suit when I finally do so. I used to make cosplay parts out of craft foam back in the day, so I think I might be able to figure something out with it.
And now I want to find those Persocom ear headphones I made a few years ago and make a pattern from them. >u>
