Oh ooh wait you're from Clemson(or nearby) too? WHAT? X'D Have we met before? I go to some furry gatherings but it's awful hard for me to remember faces!
The Digital Production Arts classes here have been so fun for me; this is my last semester of mandatory classes, but I'll be taking more next semester anyways because I love them so much!
I did have a little bit of a head start because I got The Animator's Survival Kit years ago and started practicing on my own. It's a super useful book if you can get your hands on it. =D

Haha, thank you! ^^ I'd estimate it took around 4-5 hours, a lot of on and off because I'm not experienced enough to eyeball everything that might look strange in one go yet. A lot of time was also spent hopping around in front of my desk so I could get a good idea of how it should lean and how high the jumps should be. XD
I took animation in highschool, the first semester was 2D and the second 3D. It's a lot of fun. Since then, I've been teaching myself how to use Blender.
If you want an honest critique, I feel like the bag is suddenly popping into the air, rather than landing and jumping. The bag might look softer if it slowed down and squashed when hitting the ground. Still, it looks pretty cool, for a beginner project.

Ah, I see what you mean! :D Thanks a lot! I'm going to take it into consideration for my future projects; that's really useful advice!
Also, please do let me know if you've got animation work floating around on the net somewhere too. I feel like I learn best by observing, and I definitely need to follow more animators' works.

Oh sure thing! I still have a couple of them on Youtube. There's a music video from highschool and a more recent 3D one.
I found studying animation principles like squash-and-stretch, follow-through or slow-in-slow-out was really interesting and useful. They all come from 2D animation but most of them still apply. Oh and don't forget keyframes.
